A 24 hour plumber should be just as competent as one you would reach at 3pm. Unfortunately for plumbers, they have to work round-the-clock, it is the nature of the job so you shouldn’t expect second-rate service when you call a firm advertising 24 hour plumbing service.
When you call a 24 hour plumber in the UK, you should expect a plumber who is knowledgeable about all types of plumbing and can carry out the job professionally and promptly. Having a plumber arrive at 3am is not enough, the plumber should have the tools, parts, and experience to complete the job during his or her visit.
Remember, there are some companies that advertise no call out charge, and they mean it. Then there are some 24 hour plumbing companies that charge a high call-out charge if you call them in the middle of the night. Ask if they charge a “night time” call-out charge when you initially call to avoid a nasty surprise. You are not at at the mercy of a plumbing company if you have an emergency in the middle of the night, there are plenty of options for you, no matter where you live in the UK.
